Surviving a Chaotic New Year!

Surviving a Chaotic New Year!

“The Lord is my rock, my Fortress and MY Rock, my Savior, my God is my rock in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.”

2 Samuel 22:3

How can we survive a chaotic year? This is our topic. This coming year there seems to be many uncertainties which are: political, economic, social, emotional and personal.

We are finding that many parts of the world at war with each other, families torn asunder though conflicts, such as illness, tragedies, and having lost or losing a loved ones.

We are also seeing our freedoms and rights being taken away or being restricted. I am also seeing that immorality increasing, people challenging the authority of God, the Bible and persecuting the Christian church!

So what is our hope?  My daughter gave me a cross for Christmas. Inscribed on the cross is 2 Samuel 22:3 which states that the Lord is my rock. He is my Fortress, my Rock, Savior and Protector. He is also my Shield. He alone is my power to save me and my place of safety as we face these uncertain days!!!!

My son also gave me a picture frame which also inscribed the names of God which gives us strength to face the heavy days ahead!

Dear friends as we face many uncertainties and chaotic days ahead may we place our faith and hope in Jesus, Our Rock! May we also stay close as a family, support and encourage each other!

Lastly remember don't let fear rule your life!  The scriptures states,"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and He shall direct your paths!"

My family wish you all a Happy and prosperous New Year!!!!

Love, Eddie and Donna Smatt

Luke 2

King James Version (KJV)

2 And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed.

2 (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)

3 And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.

4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)

5 To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.

6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.

7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

Dear friends we are living in a world of unspeakable chaos which are: weather, illness, loss of jobs, family relationships strained, our fiancés and the countries, wars and rumors of wars. What do we do?

The Bible tells us that two thousand years ago God sent His Son Jesus to rescue us and bring comfort and great joy!

I know, like these shepherds that life changing events can be dramatic and emotional, but God wants us to trust Him and He will bring us comfort and great joy through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!!

Have a Merry Christmas and a Great New Year!

Hero teacher shielded kids from bullets with her body

Hero teacher shielded kids from bullets with her body

My prayers and thoughts go out to all the victms families and to the family of this very coureageous young lady!

As a teacher  I know what she was feeling in those last mins, because I too have been assualted and and battered last week by a student.Shielding a student from another one who has been documented in the insane behavior over and over again! They blame it on maifestation of behavior disorder! a bunch of junk!

They will also blame it on guns and not on personal responsibility of a evil, sinfull , wicked individual. I believe that he wold have found another way to do harm.

Parents must be envolved with their kids, school and the administratior of all schools! This insane school policies of protcting the evil need to come to an end!!!!

We don't need more regulations. I believe we need to bring back prayer and the bible teachings to our schools!

We need to change the way we do discipline policeis in our schools! We need to protect the teachers and students!

My prayers and thoughts goes out to the famlies of this trageic situation!

Love,

Eddie

Christ, Christmas and The World at War.

Christ, Christmas and the World at War.

Christ, Christmas and the World at War. What’s going on here? This is the most wonderful time of the year and we are scared with various wars which are:  Christmas, the Middle East, our finances, the countries finances, and traditional families’ values and on and on!

We are facing some very tough times! What then is the hope for our future?

We have seen the war on Christmas from people in our public square. They (the liberal  progressives) are taken actions to ban Christmas activity like Christmas trees and the Nativity on public square. They are  citing separation of church and state which is rubbish, because  Nowhere in the Constitution is it mentioned! Traditional marriage is also under attack, abortions, pot smoking, and immorality abounds!

The countries in the Middle East are in serious failures like Syria. Our government responses are weak in it's answer to terrorism, for example the tragedy in Bengazi, Libya and the four dead, brave Americans, and Israel is standing alone!

Jesus is our only hope and only answer to these various serious problems!

The Bible states in 1 John 5:13, “I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know you have eternal life.”

The only hope in the solution to these serious problems is Jesus Christ the Son of the Living God! He is the only Prince of Peace!!!!!

Jesus is the only way to eternal life! He is the only answer to peace!

That’s what Christmas is all about!

Dear friend come to Jesus today! Pray with me this simple prayer, “Dear Lord, Jesus forgive me of my sins and come into my heart today, in Jesus name amen.” If you prayed this prayer He came into your heart today! He will bring you peace!

From my family to yours, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year!!

With Christmas Love and Joy in Jesus,

  Rev.Eddie Smatt and Family

Santa , Frosty the Snowman and not baby Jesus????

Santa, Frosty the Snowman and not Baby Jesus?

Santa, Frosty the Snowman and not baby Jesus? This Christmas season we are seeing  the liberal progressive society wanting to advance there cause of inclusiveness. We also are seeing the war on Christmas! Here are some examples.

In Rode Island the Governor Chaffee on the O’ Reilly Factor is denying the people of naming a Christmas tree  a Christmas  tree but a holiday tree!  Some Counties in the States in our country wants the naivety removed from the public square!

The Cottondale Elementary School in the pan handle of Florida, said Santa and Frosty the Snowman is ok, but the display of the naivety is not, the reason, because of separation of church and state, (which not in our constitution) and they don’t want to offend anybody!

Santa is Santa ,Frosty the snowman ,is Frosty the Snownman, but let us all remember that  Christmas is about God sending His only begotten son, Jesus!! (John 3:16 )for us! Nobody can take this away!! God did what he did and it is what it is, over 2,ooo years ago!

Come to Jesus today!!

Love,

Eddie
