What does convictions and courage have to do
with mercy? In the television show on 04/26/2013 “Blue Bloods” This episode
deals with convictions, the courage to carry through with your convictions,
facing the consequences and the mercy of the one overseeing the consequences.
“I will go to the
King, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!” Esther 4:16 in the
following chapters we saw the mercy of the King towards Esther and the Jews.
In life, there will be times that godly
people will have to make a stand, do the right thing, and face the consequences
of their decisions. My prayers is that the people in charge, who oversee these
brave people, they will have mercy, protect and do the right thing concerning
these brave souls.
Dear friends, God loves you. He died and rose again for you. It is by faith that He will come into your heart. Here is a simple prayer," Dear Lord Jesus I repent ,and forgive me of my sin and come into my heart , in Jesus name amen!" He came in through faith.

are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom
of heaven. “Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter
all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for
your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were
before you.
What
does it mean doing the right thing? I
saw a great episode from” Blue Bloods” (The ends and means) It was about three different
scenarios. First, about a derby race, the grandpa wanted to win at any cost
even if it meant cheating because of a family thing.Secondly, a family member who is a D.A. found
a flaw in a case, that opposed her boss. Thirdly, a murder case needed to be solved,with
another son, who is a detective placed him against his wife, who is a nurse, and
both desiring to do the right thing. In all cases they all did the right thing
no matter the cost.
That is what exactly what the Bible is
stating here in these verses to do the right thing in spite the cost.
In
my life I have always strive to do the right thing in spite the cost.
In my college days, in the pastorate and
even now in my present job, I have always made by decisions on what would Jesus
do! What is the right thing to do in spite the cost?
I believe that the end does not justify the
means no matter what the cost is.
I further believe that we must make a stand
for truth, and justice.
I have just recently paid a heavy price in my
job for doing the right thing. I would do it over again, because at the end God
will always bless!I believe when making
tough decisions that we must do the right thing through the spirit of humility
and love. I believe that truth and justice will alwaystrump evil!
Dear friends, I believe that we must make a stand
for Godliness, because the ends do not justify the means. I also believe that
God will always see you through!
The student whom I helped, before he left said , "Mr. Smatt, I am sorry I hit you in the head and I love you." He also rested his head on my shoulder! Friends, I believe making a stand does make difference , it's all in the name of Jesus !
