The Road to Recovery

The Road to Recovery
..

.

Have you ever felt like this that life is a long and winding road. I believe that Job felt like this. Job had lost everything that meant a great deal to him and he recovered at the end.

How did he do it? How did he get double what he lost? “And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.” Job 42:10

Job 42:1-17

1.       The road to recovery begins with acknowledging that there is a God and He alone is in control of everything . Verse 1-3

2.       The road to recovery begins with repentance  to God verses 4-8

3.       The road to recovery is sweet and double at the end verses 10-17

Dear friends, life are a winding road with many pitfalls. The good news is that there can be recovery and we will receive double what we lost. God loves you very much and He wants to bless your life.  I know that what is required of us is to acknowledge Him as Lord of all, repent of our sins and He will and double what we have lost.

Eddie

I have Been Wonged What do I do ????????

 Writing the Wrongs of Life

I have been wronged! This is just plain wrong! I have misunderstood and hard harsh words has been set against me.  Have you ever heard these statements! I have in so many situations. How do we respond to these cruel, mean spirited, injustices .

In the Book of Psalms chapter 28 is a wonderful way that God informs us in how to respond when we have been wronged.

1.        When we have been wronged our response must turn to God in prayer.

Verses 1-2
“Unto thee will I cry Lord my rock d best silent to me, if thou be silent to me, I become like them that down to the pit?”

2.       A. When we have been wrong must not let the cry of the world pull us in their wrong full acts. Verse3-5
.
             B. We must also avoid all appearance of evil and any situations can lead to evil acts, because we will be pulled into their evil acts.

“Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity which speak peace to their neighbors, but mischief is in their hearts.”

3.       We must place our hope and faith in the Lord that Our God will protect and provide for us in the times we are being wronged.  Verses 6-9

“The Lord is my strength hand my shield; my heart trusted in him and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoice; and with my song I will praise him.”

Dear friends so many times we feel that we have been wronged, hurt, bruised, and beaten by actions and words, but our actions and our words should produce positive results and not negative actions.
I believe that our God will provide and protect.

We must trust in him, pray and watch God will do. I say don't fall prey and do things in that
can bring devastating results

Love,
Eddie

Marching Towards Madness?

.
Marching   Towards Madness?
Forgiveness!!!!!!!

Colossians 3:10-17 “And put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image him that created him.”

This week we saw the not guilty verdict of George Zimmerman.  We saw a young man life snuffed out which is a great tragedy (Travyon Martin). We also saw hurting parents on both side of the isle. Many in the public had different heated opinions but the jury saw the evidence and followed the law.

I believe as a country we may not agree but we must accept or we will lose our rights and become lawless!

The big question now, is where do we go from here? There is a march by leaders!

If you believe that this is the right thing to do and are moved with your emotions, let it be done according to scriptures which are:

 1. Let Christ be seen in your actions verse 10 “And have put on the new man……”

2    Let us all remember that no matter what race we come from we are all one in Christ.  Verse11

“Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, barbarians, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all and in all.”

3. Let our words and deeds be done in love, forgiveness, lifting up Jesus and truth verses 12-17

I believe that those who call themselves ministers, and Christians but promotes  words and deeds of hate, division, untruths and unrest we must reject, but those who promotes peace, harmony, understanding ,truth and healing we must embrace.

I am constantly reminded that no matter in this situation or other difficult people or problems that we must forgive because of Jesus, His shed blood, and the cross!!!!

Verse 17 “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the father by him.”

The Zimmeran trial , Moral Integrity today to Save and Heal our Divided Nation!

The Weighing of Integrity in Todays Culture

“Let me weigh in an even balance, that God may know my integrity.” Job 31:6

“In thy face I see the map of honor; truth and loyalty.-Shakespeare

We live day where see  people of all walks of life, including minsters and politicians, whom seem to express  hate, cowardice, lack of integrity and bitterness towards so many people of different races and the rules of laws and in relationships to our society.

I am reminded of God’s Word in Job how we are to live victoriously through integrity in a difficult culture.  Job chapter 31

1.       Job wants most of all to have a life committed to integrity. Job 31:1-16  1 John 2:17

a.       Controlling  his flesh’

b.       Controlling his eyes

c.        Controlling his pride

2.         Job wanted his life of integrity to show the world how he ministers to the social needs of people. Verse 16-24

3.       Job wanted life integrity by demonstrating his love for God and not material things. Verse 24-29

4.       Job wanted his integrity shown by how he respect and work honestly with people verses 30-33

5.       Job wanted his integrity to be seen that he was not afraid to speaking out on Biblical convictions, or what people are saying about him and his convictions which deals with moral issues. verse 34-40

Dear friends, today more than ever, we need courageous men and women to demonstrating their integrity publically by godly living, ministering to the social needs of people and to also   verbally make Biblical stands for morality! To preach the verbal inspired, inerrant Word of God! -2 Timothy chapters 4.

“It is not what you say that counts,

  Nor merely what you do;

Your words may all seem genuine,

  Your works is not a few;

Yet, after all, God looks within,

And sees the inner “you “

  Your creed may be all true;

Yet God looks past all these to see’

  If you, yourself, are true’”

                                     _ R. E Neighbor

I believe we need to preach truth and live a life of integrity and show by demonstration that there is forgiveness at the cross.

I believe that through Jesus, through His shed blood on the cross for our sins and by coming to Him it can bring healing to this bitter divide Nation. Let’s all people of all races come to Jesus today!!

Love,

Eddie
