This gift, Useful or Not Useful?
Galatians 4:4, 5 “But when the fullness of sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law,
To redeem those who were under the law that we might receive the adoption as sons.
I remember when Donna and myself went our first church to pastor, they had a pounding for us. A pounding in a Baptist church, is that all the members of the church would bring groceries for us.
So, after the first evening church service the church had a fellowship and they brought all their groceries and some were useable but some we had no idea what was in some of the homemade canned fruits! It looked like they were canned at the beginning of creation. So many times meaning full family members at Christmas can give gifts that we can never use and at times have no idea what they are!
This gift that God sent us is very usable because inside this gift was a born a baby, sinless, born not by man but by the Holy Spirit. He was born under the law to redeem.
Eddie, why do we need redemption, because we are born sinners and the only way to be purchase and redeem us is by His shed blood on the crosses?
Jesus had to be born through the Virgin Mary, to live, and to die on the cross so that we can have eternal life!
The Lord Jesus was born under the law, lived under the law and died under the law! which we cannot keep!
Jesus came to set us free from the law!
In infancy he startled a Kingpin boyhood he puzzled the doctors, in manhood he walked upon the billows and He hushed the sea to sleep.
He healed the multitudes without medicine and made no charges for His services.
He never wrote a book, yet not all the libraries of the country could hold the books that could ever be written about Him
He never wrote a song, yet He has furnished the theme of more songs than all written combined
He never founded a college yet all the schools together cannot boast of boast of as many students as He has.
Great men has come and gone, ET He lives on.
Death could not destroy Him; the grave could not hold Him.
