How can we maintain a Positive Life Style
Exodus 14:31
“Thus Israel saw the great work which the Lord hath in Egypt;
So the people feared the Lord, believed the Lord and His servant Moses.”
This week we read so much crazy news. Iran desire to destroy Israel and the USA through nuclear weapons, along with all the other problems we personally face, what must we continue to do? How can we maintain a positive life style?
In these passages of scriptures, Israel just saw a great victory over the Egyptians and there heart was strengthened. The Bible states they did several things to maintain a positive life style.
They feared the Lord, believed the Lord and they followed Moses.
They feared the Lord which means they had complete respect for Him.
Also they believed the Lord; they had total trust in Him.
Finally they followed Moses; they stayed with God’s leader.
I just watched a show called Bluebloods with Tom Selleck, in this episode; he lost a partner and friend due to after effects of 9/11. He was struggling with the why? Why not him? Why his friend?
He was sharing this with his dad. His dad stated that there are sometimes no answers in life but God has a plan for all of us and we need to trust Him.
Moses trusted God, so did the Israelites and God delivered them.
Friends, sometimes there are no answers to the whys of life.
Why did my wife fall and developed RSD, why did she develop MS?
Why was I pushed out of the pastorate?
Why am I teaching school and not preaching every Sunday from the pulpit?
Why? Why? But God always reminds me through friends, movies, families, church and by the scriptures.
That God loves me! God has a plan for me! I am also reminded of His blessings, which are: my wife of 34 years, children and grandkids, and my precious son-in-law and daughter in laws and their families, how really and truly I am blessed and the effects that I have on the children I teach at school.
God has a plan for us and it’s for our good.
Jeremiah 29:11-14
“For I know the plans for you declares the Lord, plan to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Today, we face all sorts of challenges but remember, God loves you, He has a plan for you and He will never forsake you, never!
We must together, continue to develop, and maintain a positive life style by having respect/reverence for who He is, growing in faith and totally trust Him to provide for all our needs! I do!
Love,
Eddie
