What Buys Happiness Money or Love?

The Unstoppable Love part 2 –

 What buys you Happiness Money or Love?

    So what buys a person happiness money or love?

   This week there is the Mega Lottery$456 million dollars! Wow!

   I am reminded of a teen rock band in the 1970’s, the Beatles, they sang a song and it’s Lyrics states, “Can’t Buy Me Love.” They were saying that money cannot buy me love.

  Let see, hmmm, Elvis Presley, Janis Joplin, or Whitney Houston. Or Michael Jackson did money buy them love and peace?

   What then buys you love?

   What led Jesus to the cross? Why was Jesus unstoppable to go to the cross for us? I believe it was His love for you and me! He loved us so very much.

     John 3:16: For God so love the world that He gave us His only begotten Son. That whosoever believes on Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

   Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrated His own love towards us, in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us.”

   This year Donna and I have been married for thirty five years and our love is stronger than ever before!

I remember the time when we got engaged. It was on an evening in Orlando, Fl. I wanted to give her the ring at a steak house, but she had other ideas, she wanted to it at a lake. So off we went to a park that had a lake. Well we sat at the park bench and I knelt down on the green wet grass and said, “Donna, I love you and I want you to be my wife.”

    Well with the biggest, beautiful smile she said, “Yes.” and then a strange thing happened, the ducks, frogs, birds and whatever creatures were there, they all began to sing in unison and we just laugh our heads off!

    Dear friends, God’s love is far deeper than this and it was unstoppable. Christ on the cross, beaten and broken died on the cross for us and his resurrection; make us free from sin and death

   God love you so very much that he gave His only and nothing and not anyone could stop Him from going to the cross.

   Today, you can find true happiness by calling upon Jesus and saying, “Dear Jesus, come into my heart and forgive me of my sins, in Jesus name, Amen!”

The unstoppable- Hope for America!

The Unstoppable - Part 1

Mark 15:33-41

Verse 37 “And Jesus cried out, and breath His last breath.”

     Why was Jesus Unstoppable to go to the cross? Why did Jesus die on the cross?

    God took a stand in Genesis against Satan; He had planned to send His Son, Jesus to die on the cross for our sins.

   Jesus was born; He lived, died and rose from the dead, so that we might have eternal life. What made Jesus, to be unstoppable?”

 

    I believe it was our sin, His love for us and the certainty of our death that made Jesus unstoppable to redeem us!

  Our sins made Jesus unstoppable to go to the cross! Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

  We are born with a sinful nature and for this we need a Savior!

 Dear friends, as we approach this Easter season, with so much unrest in our country and the world, let us remember that one of the reasons Jesus was unstoppable to go to the cross was because He saw that man is a sinner and the only way to bring peace was through the cross!

  Today, come to Jesus! Ask Jesus to come into your heart and forgive you of your sins and He will!

Victory over Life's Pressure Cookers

Daniel 3:9-22

      Have you ever been in a pressure cooker situation? Whether maybe like your job, family, church, friend’s situations and you feel that you have to meet a deadline, or fine line. You are so stressed out and at times feel no way out!

    I have so many times. Either it be at school, or in a church job. There are always pressure cooker situations.

   The other day I felt pressure in having an Individual Educational Plan for a student to be done at a certain time. Pulse rate rising, my headaches, heartaches and feeling flushed and red hot! What did I do to help me overcome this presser cooker situation? I returned to the scriptures and reminded myself about three young men in Daniel chapter 3 and how they dealt with a pressure cooker situation that is to worship an image or die!

   In a pressure cooker the temperature is gradually turned up so the heat would rise to cook the food. In Daniel 3 :9-22 Three young men face the pressure to fall in line by accusations verses 8-12, pressure applied verses 13-15 and their response  in verses 16-18

“ Shadrach, Meshach, and AbenNego “answered and that said to the King,”

O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter.

“If that this is the case our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand and He will deliver us from your hand, O King.

“But if not, let it be known to you O King, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the golden image which you have set up.”

     In an age where the politically correct culture wants us to worship the gods of money, power grabbers, sexism, racism, all forms of sexual immorality,sports,evolutionism and a me first attitude.

  The answer to this generation should be the same as these brave young men, which is No! We rather serve God than man! We will face the consequences than deny our Lord, Jesus!

  I praise God for men like Tim Tebow who play professional sports, or like the movie actor Kirk Cameron, Rev. Franklin Graham and others, who are vocal about their faith in Jesus.                                   

    Dear friends, I pray that many of you will continue to stand fast in the faith, in these times, and make a stand for Godliness! ! Also, if today you feel empty, lonely and not loved,remember God loves you and He died and rose for you! Today, why not invite Jesus into your heart! Say with me," Dear Jesus forgive me of my sins and come into my heart,save me and make me whole, In Jesus name, amen!"

Is USA a Milk Toast Nation?

A Milk Toast Nation

    What is milk toast? Milk toast is served at breakfast. It is toasted, buttered,bread, dipped in warm milk with cinnamon, sugar and resins. It is a comfort food and it is sometimes served on a cold day. It is also at times, served to the feeble, or to the ill.

    It is also used to call those who are spineless.It from a french name, who was a cartoon character in 1950's, who could not stand up to his wife.Ha.

   So, are we a milk toast nation? Who is scared to death to up hold traditional moral values? Are we a milk toast Christians, ministers and Christian churches for biblical values? Are we preaching to please people, make people feel good and to get a crowd?

     Today, in the cultural war on moral values where those who take a stand are called racist, homophobia and sexist. Where nudity and pornographic is now a norm, am I describing Sodom in the Old Testament? No! It’s the USA.

    In the scriptures in Daniel chapter three, there are three young men who said no and took a stand for Godliness and got a blessing in the end.

    I believe, as we study these new messages that God has called us to be in the world but not of the world, we will face persecution but we will also experience the power of God and then comes sweet success.

 In the Bible, the Book of Daniel 3:                                                                    There was a King name Nebuchadnezzar. He wanted people to bow down and worship his golden image. If they did not, they would be put to death.

    What are the golden images of today that satan wants us to worship? I believe they are: Sexism, racism, humanism, education, money, all forms of immorality, sports, careers, power grabbers, and anything that we place before God! If we don’t worship them and we take a verbal stand, then we face verbal abuse, which are: the blunt of insults, name calling, dirty jokes. Also, we face physical abuse which is: losing our jobs, our freedoms, boycotts and our lives.

  I believe that these are happening now in the good old USA.

   I say, let us as christians make a stand for Godliness, come to Jesus today.

How Sweet It Is!

Psalm 33:12 Blessed is a nation whose God is the Lord,

  The people He has chosen as His own inheritance.

Psalm 144:15 “Yea happy is that people whose God is the Lord.”

      There is a song that states, “OH how sweet it is to be loved by you,” Dear friends; to experience sweet success is to honor the Lord Thy God! When a person, or a nation that upholds the Judaic /Christian values! The values as found in Exodus 20

·     No other Gods

·     No idols

·     Keep the Lords day

·     Do not take the Lords name in vain

·     Honor your parents

·     Do not kill

·     Do not commit adultery

·     Do not steal

·     Bear false witness

·     Do not covet 

  In Matthew 5:17 Jesus said,”Do not think that I came to destroy the law or the prophet’s .I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.”

   We cannot live by the law because we have fall short. Jesus died under the law, so we can live by grace. God riches at Christ expense. 

   God has given us the Ten Commandments as a guide so we can have sweet success! 

    When a nation, that is the people within the nation, honor and serve the Lord thy God, they will experience sweet success in every area of life.

     What makes a Nation Great?

Not serried ranks with flags unfurled,

Not armored ships that gird the world,

Not hoarded wealth nor busy mills,

Not cattle on a thousand hills,

Not sages wise, nor schools nor laws,

Not boasted deeds in freedom cause-

All these may be, and yet the state

In the eye of God be far from great

                 

That land is great which knows the Lord,

Whose songs are guided by His Word?

Where justice rules twixt man and man,

Where love controls in art and plan;

Where, breathing in his native air,

Each soul finds joy

In praise and prayer-

Thus may our country, good and great,

Be God’s delight- man’s best estate.

Dear friends, here are nine principles that has made our nation great

                                                             

1.               America was founded by those who came to worship God in Liberty of conscience.

2.               The laws of our country were founded upon God’s laws given in His word (Exodus 20)

3.               Our silver dollar is stamped in God we trust.

4.               Our national hymn ends with” Great God our King.”

5.               We hold annual day of thanksgiving to the Almighty God, observed by no other nation.

6.               We never carried out an unjust war for personal aggrandizement.

7.               We have shown great acts of benevolence to other nations

8.               America has afforded a refuge to God’s chosen people, the Jews. Genesis 12:3,” I will bless them that bless thee and curse them that corset thee.”

9.               The bible was formerly read and prayer offered daily on our schools.

The scripture states: “Return unto me and I will return unto you saith the Lord.”

Mal.3:7

“If thou seek Him He will be found of thee but if thou forsake Him, He will cast thee off forever.” 1 Chron.28:9

     I believe first, that if we return to God by asking His forgiveness, attending church and living for Him. God will return to us.

      I also believe that if we seek Him through prayer, bible study and allowing the Holy Spirit to fill you every day. He will guide our lives and prosper our nation, but if we reject him and accept this secular humanism, liberal theology and actions. I believe dear friends that He will forsake us.

   Here is what we need to do, repent, ask forgiveness and begin to live out these principles. He will prosper you! Come to Jesus today!
