 What buys you Happiness Money or Love?

    So what buys a person happiness money or love?

   This week there is the Mega Lottery$456 million dollars! Wow!

   I am reminded of a teen rock band in the 1970’s, the Beatles, they sang a song and it’s Lyrics states, “Can’t Buy Me Love.” They were saying that money cannot buy me love.

  Let see, hmmm, Elvis Presley, Janis Joplin, or Whitney Houston. Or Michael Jackson did money buy them love and peace?

   What then buys you love?

   What led Jesus to the cross? Why was Jesus unstoppable to go to the cross for us? I believe it was His love for you and me! He loved us so very much.

     John 3:16: For God so love the world that He gave us His only begotten Son. That whosoever believes on Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

   Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrated His own love towards us, in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us.”

   This year Donna and I have been married for thirty five years and our love is stronger than ever before!

I remember the time when we got engaged. It was on an evening in Orlando, Fl. I wanted to give her the ring at a steak house, but she had other ideas, she wanted to it at a lake. So off we went to a park that had a lake. Well we sat at the park bench and I knelt down on the green wet grass and said, “Donna, I love you and I want you to be my wife.”

    Well with the biggest, beautiful smile she said, “Yes.” and then a strange thing happened, the ducks, frogs, birds and whatever creatures were there, they all began to sing in unison and we just laugh our heads off!

    Dear friends, God’s love is far deeper than this and it was unstoppable. Christ on the cross, beaten and broken died on the cross for us and his resurrection; make us free from sin and death

   God love you so very much that he gave His only and nothing and not anyone could stop Him from going to the cross.

   Today, you can find true happiness by calling upon Jesus and saying, “Dear Jesus, come into my heart and forgive me of my sins, in Jesus name, Amen!”
