When Life Gives You Lemons…….

 

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love the Lord, to those who are called according to His purpose.   

  For whom He foreknew, He had predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, and that He might be the first born among many brethren.” Romans 8:28.29

 

 

 

        When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.

                                                                  This week has been one of those crazy weeks. I had a terrible car accident, my wife had surgery and this new teaching assignment has been very tough! So, I ask myself what is God’s purpose for me?

 

        I believe that that God’s purpose for me is to be like Him.

        In these verses I found several gems:

·     We know implies certainty through faith.

·     All things which implies every kind of experiences.

·     Work together for good

·     To those who love God

·     To those who are called according to his purpose.

   When life get you down you have a choice to become bitter or better.

 

         I choose to become better because I believe that God allows things to happen so we can become like Him.

 

        G Campbell Morgan said, “God will not allow anything to happen to us who cannot be used in molding our character into Christlikeness.”

 

 

          Dear friends, I am reminded of a scripture verse, “We love Him because He first loves us.” 1 John 4:19

          Today as you and I face many difficult challenges, always remember that God loves us, He cares for us and that God wants us to become like Him! God will make a way for us! Let us make lemonade out of lemons.

How to go through Tough Times

 

Romans 8:28 “And we all know that all things work together for good to those who love God who are called according to His purpose.”

 

    Have you ever felt like me that some days are just plain tough! Or ask the question, “Does anybody care for me?

    Recently, I sat alone waiting for the surgeon to come out and talk to me about my wife's surgrey, I felt so alone!

   What about an elderly lady I know going through a financially, physically and emotionally tough time, hardly anyone looking in on her, or offering a helping hand!    

   I believe that God cares for you! I also believe that He has a purpose and a plan for you .                                                                                 

 

  God cares for you because he has shown this through His Son, Jesus. God sent His only begotten Son, he lived and died for you! There is a song which states, because He Lives I can face tomorrow!

                                                                                            I will be addressing these issues concerning God’s purpose and plan for you in the coming days!

 

   Remember that God loves you very much, and because He loves you he sent Jesus to help us through these tough times.

How to experience sweet blessings from God!

God’s solution to the Drought in our Lives

 

    Rain, rain go away and come another day! We have heard this saying many times.

 

   I believe there is a spiritual/physical drought in our land today, and the question is why?

     Yesterday, I witness violence at the supermarket. I saw a man about in his twenties, running down the parking lot; he jumped on an elderly man and ran back to his car and speed off!

  We are in economic down turn, food, gas and all other essentials are sky rocketing, and the world is aflame with violence, with America losing its power!

 

  The Bible states, “Thou has polluted the land with thy whoredoms and with thy wickedness. Therefore the showers hath been no latter rain.” (Jeremiah 3:2, 3)

 

  Today in our land are many gods before the Lord thy God!

   I believe the god of sex, sodomites and perversions, god of humanism, gods of selfishness, gods of money, sports, and gods of greed. No wonder we have a drought in our land where there are lack of showers of blessings!

 

   Many born again believers are falling into accepting these sins as normal, or they are excusing it for many ungodly reasons!

  Listen! Our country, these United States of America will continue to experience a physical and spiritual drought until we turn back to God and His commandments!

 

  Dear friends, today let us pray for our nation and Christians to repent and turn back to the Lord thy God, to overcome the physical and spiritual drought and receive the showers of blessings we need!

America Perish or Prosper?

Perish or Prosper!

Deuteronomy 8:18-20

“But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto the fathers as in this day.

And it shall be, if thou do all forget the Lord thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them and worship them, I will testify you against this day that you shall surely perish.

As the nations which the Lord thy God destroyed before your face, so shall you perish, because you would not be obedient unto the voice of the Lord your God.”

I believe America is burning morally and literally today! Is their an answer from God?We are in a racial mess,economic mess, political mess, moral mess! What do we do?

   I believe for us to prosper and not perish as a nation,today, that God in these passages are telling us what to do:

 1.  We need to remember that it is God who gives us power to get wealth, not man, and it is not anything that we do!

2.  We must not do four things:

        A. Forget God

        b. Walk after other gods.

        c. Serve them

        d. Worship them.

3. We will perish and not prosper

     I believe according to God’s Holy Word, that if we follow God, His commandments and His statues. I believe that He will bless us as a nation but if we disobey Him and reject Him we will perish as a nation!

 America we must wake up, or blow up!

2 Chronicles 7:14 Repent and turn to God in prayer for guidance and delieverance!

   Dear friends, we need to come to Jesus today! Today is the day of our salvation! Today if you have never been saved, pray with me this simple prayer,” Dear Lord Jesus, I am a sinner please come into my heart and save me, in Jesus name amen!”

America again Under Attack on 9/11/2012

 

   Today a nut in America send out a bad video on Muslims, which is wrong and the terrorist in those countries attack our embassies in Egypt, Libya, invade our embassy and kill the Ambassador! Our first statement is apologies to them???

 

   How about condemn the act of violence, protect the embassy and then let it be known we don’t support this man’s crazy movie, but he also as freedom of speech which they don’t have! Let’s us protect the embassy by our marines, like we use too! Or are we in the Carter Era again!

  Pray for peace and the Ambassador’s family

What I Remembered about 9/11

I Remember 9/11

 

   Today, I read an article concerning a hand written note given to some grieving parents. It was written by their son, “We are trapped on the 88^th floor with twelve others.” As they read it tears came into their eyes.

    I remember where I was that dreadful day, I was teaching sixth grades social studies, when a teacher walked in and said, “We are under attack; several planes had struck the World Trade Center!” We were stunned and saddened! Tears of sadness just rolled down our eyes as we watch some of the horrible pictures being shown!    Today as I as walking to my car from school tears still comes to my eyes as I remembered that September day 11

  So, today on the eve of September 11, let us stop and pray for all those who were affected by this tragedy!

 

 I am reminded of a scripture, ”Blessed are the mourn for they shall be comforted.”

Matthew 5:4

  Let us pray for peace through cross of our Lord Jesus!

Deuteronomy 8:12-18

 

     I was reading the Readers Digest and there was a joke about success.

    Larry wins the lottery and dashes downtown to claim his prize.

   “Give me my 20 million,” he tells the man in charge.

    “Sorry, but it doesn’t work that way.” The man says, “You will get a million today, and then the rest will be spread out over the next ten years.”

   Larry is furious.” Look,I want my money! And if you’re not going to give my $20 million right now then I want my dollar bill back!”

 

 

 

   Well God’s recipe for success is bit more different. God tell us first not to forget Him, his commandments, judgments and His statutes.

  God then shares with us in these passage several essentials for success which are:

 

1.    When you become successful and you have built beautiful homes, have cars, bank accounts, food abundantly and you are so filled up be careful that you don’t become puffed up! I did it!

Verse 17-18

    “And then you say in your heart, “My

power and the might of thy hand have gained me this wealth.’

     18  “And you shall remember the Lord your God ,for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which he swore to your fathers, as it is this day.”

 

2. Keep God first!

   Verse 19-20

a. Don’t forget Him

b. Don’t worship other gods

C Don’t serves other gods

d. Don’t follow other gods

 

3. If you don’t keep God first then the results are: you will fail, you will perish and other nations will destroy you! Verse 19

 

4. You must be obedient to Him verse 20

 

    Well, look at us today as a nation; we have everything you could imagine and more!

   We are following other gods and we have lost prestige in the world’s eye! China owns us and Russia scorns us!

  We have accepted all kinds of sins! Abortions, lust, greed, same sex marriage, homosexual agenda on and on!

 

    Government that states look to me and I will be your guide and savior! That government is an evil and corrupt government!

 

    No! Friends, real success comes from looking to God! God alone is our Savior through His Son Jesus Christ! God gets the glory and not any man! God is the one who gives us power to gain wealth and not government or any leader of any nation!

       When we turn our eyes to Him and put Him first, He will heal our lives, land and we will be successful!

A Nation Booing God!

 

    This week, Wednesday, August 2012, we saw the most despicable action in the history of our country, by a political democratic party, voting against God and booing Him!

      It can be said in movies, you can see the soul of a nation! In 1965, a Bonanza episode, “ Come all ye Saints”, the  theme was about a young boy seeking help from God. His dad needed healing. God answered by healing the dad. A story of God’s mercy!  

           Now our nation’s movies are filled with rejections of God! Imagine having trouble with the word- God. Our nation was founded on the Word of God! We have on our coins “In God we trust”. The Declaration of Independence mentions and emphasis’s God! Our former national leaders looked to God for deliverance!

 

     In Deuteronomy chapter eight verses 11-18. God’s Word tells us. ”Beware that you do not forget the Lord your God by not keeping His commandments. His judgments and His statutes which I command you……..” The commandments are found in Exodus 20:1-17

    When any nation forgets the Lord Thy God and does not keep His Word they will face destruction!

  I will add more to this and give you reasons why America has forgotten God!

 

 We, as Americans Must turn back to God!

Psalm 33:12 “Blessed is a nation whose God is the Lord....”

 

        I believe as a nation we have moved away from God and to self reliance! Just today a man is selling his calendar at the Democratic Convention about Obama, which is fine but in it, he refers John 3:16 to Obama. Well God’s Word tells us in the 10 commandments, “Thou shalt have no other Gods before me.”

          Jesus is the only savior we have! No! Obama does not support this, but there is a cult out there that worships him, and it’s wrong!

      A nation is strong if it relies solely on God and obeys His Word!

 

Lest We Forget

 Years ago when London was being blitz during World War 2, this article appeared in one of the British newspapers:

 “ We have been a pleasure loving people, dishonoring God’s day, picnicking , bathing … now the seashore is barred-no picnics,-no bathing,

 

  “We have preferred motor travel to church going… now there is a shortage of motor fuel.”

   “We have ignored the ringing of church bells calling us to worship…now the bells cannot ring except to warn us of an invasion.”

  “We have left our churches half empty when they should have been filled with worshipers…now they are in ruins.”

  “We would not listen to the way of peace …now we are faced to listen to the way of war.”

    “The money that we did not give to the Lord’s work…now is taken from us in higher taxes and high cost of living.”

    “The food which we refuse to give God thanks  ... is now unobtainable.”

   “The service we refuse to give God …is now conscripted for our country.”

   “Lives we refuse to live under God’s control  ... are now under the nation   control.”

  “Nights we would not spend in prayer …are now spent anxiously in air raid precautions and shelters.”

 

   Dear friends, we are struggling, but God and only one God will walk with us if we lean on Him!” As the Bible states,”For we walk by faith and not by sight.” 2 Cor.5:7

   I believe that our God will see us through if we lean, love and honor Him!

Can God help me? because I am struggling!

Help I am struggling! How can I or my nation receive Blessings from God?

 

 

“Blessed is a nation whose God is the Lord” Psalm 33:12

 

    Friends, people are struggling today and our nation is struggling today, to pay their bills, to hold jobs, find jobs, keep their homes! Are there any answers? Is there Hope? John Adams made the following comment:

 

  “Statesmen may play and speculate liberty, but it is religion and morality alone upon which freedom can surely stand. A patriot must be a religious man.”

 

  Yes, there is hope for us today if we listen to God’s Word!

 

  First, God tell us that He cares for us: Deuteronomy 8:1-20                                        

                                                                     1.    His past blessings. In verses 7, 10, 15 and 16

      a. He gave them a good land verse 8-9

      b. He gave food supply verse 8-9

      c. He gave them materials verse 9

      d. He protected them verse 15-16

      e. He blessed them financially verse 18

 

   Dear friends, God has blessed us and our nation in the past and he will bless us in the future if we remember and listen to his Word!

  Let us remember what God has done for us! We must have faith that he will bless us again! More to come!
