I Remember 9/11
Today, I read an article concerning a hand written note given to some grieving parents. It was written by their son, “We are trapped on the 88th floor with twelve others.” As they read it tears came into their eyes.
I remember where I was that dreadful day, I was teaching sixth grades social studies, when a teacher walked in and said, “We are under attack; several planes had struck the World Trade Center!” We were stunned and saddened! Tears of sadness just rolled down our eyes as we watch some of the horrible pictures being shown! Today as I as walking to my car from school tears still comes to my eyes as I remembered that September day 11
So, today on the eve of September 11, let us stop and pray for all those who were affected by this tragedy!
I am reminded of a scripture, ”Blessed are the mourn for they shall be comforted.”
Matthew 5:4
Let us pray for peace through cross of our Lord Jesus!
