I know there is a lot of hurt and anger towards police officers but it's not fair to equally portray all of them with hatred towards black lives and on the opposite not to say any of the officers acted without recklessness, without knowing all of the facts.
To put this post below from my dad in perspective, my dad was raised in Jamaica and my 100 grandma was born there. It's funny, when I tell people my grandma was born in Jamaica, I immediately hear "I don't see any black in you." I know a lot of times that it's folks not understanding that Jamaica is a melting pot of different backgrounds and races but there is also a bit of ignorance. She taught us to not see color but rather see the heart of one another like many Jamaicans do. Additionally, our family has seen first-hand the wickedness of racism as my dad spoke at times with his patois accent and was unfairly treated by "whites" over the years. Our country is hurting and we need to love one another no matter what color our skin is or how we speak with a different accent.
This is a post about my brother Jaguars Madison who is FHP Trooper. May God continue to watch over my brother and all law enforcement officers.
