Psalm 107:23-24
"They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters;these see the works of the Lord, and His wonders in the deep."
Awesome! What happens when we go out to sea in ship?(Do Business.I believe, they are envolved in life activities, which in turn brings all sorts of storms, and then we can see God's power and wonders in our lives, by our faith in Him.
In the book " Streams in The Desert" There is a quote by C.H Spurgeon
" Remember that we have no more faith at any time than we have in the hour of trial. All that will not be bear to be tested is mere carnal confidence. Fair -weather faith is no faith."
Let us face life, with confidence, as we go about, knowing that our faith in Jesus will see us through.
Lot of Love in Christ, Jesus ,our Lord and Saviour!

Ain't It a Fine, Today?
Ain't it fine, today?
Sure, this world is full of trouble;
I ain't said it ain't
Lord, I've enough and double
Reason for complaint:
Rain and storm have come to fret me,
Skies were often gray;
Thorns and brambles have beset me
On the road-but,say-
Ain't it fine today?
It's today that I am livin'-
Not a month ago,
Havin',losin', givin',
As time will it so.
Yesterday- a cloud of sorrow;
Fell across the way.
It may rain-but say-
AIN'T It FINE TODAY?

Part Two - How to Cope with a Major Crisis!
Part Two: How to Cope with a Major Crisis
We left the church and started on a new, uncharted road.
We had to deal with the loss of jobs, income, friends, verbal attacks on my wife and children. We also had to deal with friends and leaders in the ministry, like Job, so called friends in the Old Testament, who made cruel comments like,”What did you do wrong!”
“God must be punishing you!”
“You should not be a preacher but an evangelist, because you only stayed in a church, on an average for three years!”
We had to deal with the feelings of rejection, lies, whispers and gossips!
We also had to deal with minister friends, who just forgot you, period, made cruel judgments on every word, or actions you did and cut off communication! Sometimes, I feel drug dealers, addicts and adulterers, when they confess and make a change are more accepted to preach in the pulpit, than myself, not pure, but a God fearing man!
What develops and will develop in all who are experiencing some kind of loss! Is called, the cycle of grief!
What are the steps in the Cycle of Grief?
1. Denial
2. Anger
3. Bargaining
4. Depression
5. Acceptance
How do we cope with this cycle of grief? I believe to just go with the flow, accept this cycle, to know it will pop up from time to time, because it never truly goes away. Secondly, I believe we need to make adjustments as they come!
Thirdly, is to find a good bible preaching church, a good pastor and a tremendous Sunday school. It’s there where you can get the emotional support.
Fourthly, you must develop a devotional life, which includes (prayer and bible study) and to be faithful in tithing.
Fifthly, to have good family support!
Sixthly, to developed an action plan and then put the plan in actuality.
What did I do? Well, I applied all of these principles.
My action plan was to find a job which was selling shoes at JC Penny in the evening, getting a career assessment, which resulted to be an ESE teacher, to go back to school at night and to be a substitute teacher in the day, to take the appropriate exams, to be a caregiver to my wife and family, and to preach the Gospel on Sundays, Wow! What a challenge, but with God’s help, I did all of the above! Now, God has opened up this blog to share my life stories to the world! To give hope and comfort!
So, I believe the big question by so many people.”Why does God allow these transitions (crisis) in life?”
Why, if God is so loving and caring why is he allowing all these transitions on life?
Dear friends, we are not robots but human beings created in His image and life is just life, sometimes it does not seem just, and there are no easy answers. Go ahead, cry, shout,or scream, just let your feelings out, it’s ok! God cares for us and I believe He loves us so very much that He sent His Son, Jesus to go through transitions in life, to die on the cross and to rise again, that we can accept Him into our hearts, so that we can be comforted, have eternal life and in return, here on earth, we can comfort others!
2 Corinthians Chapter one verse four, “Who comforted us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them who are in any trouble, by the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted of God.”
Dear friends, the next time we will meet, lets us explore this verse and its meaning for us today!
Lots of Love in Christ, Jesus, our Lord!

How to Cope with a Major Crisis in Your Life
How to Cope with a Major Crisis!
2 Corinthians 1:3-11
“Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort,”
In an article written by Laura Rozen titled, “Widow accept Afghanistan mission after 9/11 twist of fate.”
“Debra Strickland lost her husband, Sgt.Major Strickland on September 11, 2011. How is she coping with the tragedy?”
Debra said, “You don’t move on. You just adjust your life.”
” I certainly believe we can get the nation back on track, and we can do it fast.”
Debra says, “We need to cooperate. When things are so hopeless and are so desperate for so many people. We need to find common ground.”
God is so good, because he has given us in 2 Corinthians 1:3-11 passages that have tremendous words of encouragement.
In a day where people are losing their jobs, homes, loved ones and their health, God has some key answers to cope with the crisis in their lives. So let us, gleam from these passages words of wisdom.
First, in order to cope with any crisis that comes our way we need to allow God to comfort us.
I am going to let you in a little secret. Eleven years ago, June 2000 my dad passed away to be with Jesus! It was a very, very difficult time. Previously my wife fell at work and developed RSD. She had to leave her work and go on Workman’s Compensation. Immediately her twenty thousand dollar income was gone!
The final shoe dropped! On a Sunday morning in November of that same year a deacon of the church I was serving, in Jacksonville, Florida came up to me and said, “They(the deacons) did not want me to tell you, but I have to because I know what they are going to do is wrong. It is what it is! They are going to ask you to resign your position of pastor of this church tonight! Wow!
I said, “Why? What did I do wrong?”
He replied, “Nothing pastor except you stood up against their sins!”
My heart dropped! I felt so lonely, so empty and I cried! Why God? Why?
A deeper crisis than all the others at that time had just developed beyond my control!
(I will share more in the coming days!)……….
Love,Eddie

The rest of the story of "How our baby girl, Angela Maria," Was healed!
How our Baby Girl, “Angela Maria”, was healed!
I believe that it shall be even as it was told to me…. (Acts 27:25)
The night was cool in the fall time of the year, and it happened. The most gut wrenching feeling! My only precious daughter was extremely sick. Angela had a very high fever and my wife and I noticed a lump on the left side of her neck.
We were really scared! In a split second we took our kids over to my parent’s home, and we sped to Baptist Hospital of Miami, Florida facing the scariest unknown! Questions galore abound in our minds. What’s going on here? Why God? Why now? Why our daughter? Where are we going with this? Why? Why? Stillness abounds and their came no easy answer.
Well, we waited, and waited in the waiting room. Then all of sudden, we were asked to move into another smaller waiting room! It just so happened to be a little bit more than a small waiting room. We were all tired and scared of what the examination would tell us.
Soon, the doctor came in and after examining our daughter, he said, “She has a high fever and a swelling on her left neck.”
“We need to take her down to the x-ray room and give her an x-ray, to see what this lump on her neck is all about!”
Wow! What a gut wrenching feeling! We could feel our hearts shut down! Tears began to form in our eyes and flowed like something crazy!
We said,” Ok, doctor!”
In a few minutes the orderly came and off she went. The strangest thing happened as Angela was going in the x-ray room. A tall man dressed in a white lab coat came up to us and said,
“What is a pretty little girl doing here?” and then he said,
“God is going to heal you!” He turned and left quickly.
The orderly then took Angela into the room and we walked back to the waiting room.
It seemed like hours to us as we waited! We prayed and soon she came out.
The most miraculous thing happened. We looked at the left side of her neck, the lump was gone and so was the fever!
We were so excited that we stopped in our tracks and prayed and thanked God for his healing power in our daughter’s life.
The doctors were amazed and had no answers to what happened.
Dear friends, God is so good! Sometimes He heals and sometime it just does not happened. We don’t know the reason why some people are healed and some are not. We do know when He heals or that He chooses not to heal. He is still in charge of our lives! He still loves us very much and He will never forsake us or leave us!
I believe that He healed Angela to demonstrate His power and His glory! Today, Angela has grown to be a wonderful Christian young lady, and she has two beautiful boys and a great husband! Who knows maybe one or two of her children will carry on to be a preacher, or some person of great historical event! To glorify His Son Jesus!

Light The Fire!-A story of Faith
Light the Fire on the Roof Top!
2 Kings 4:4 “Thou shalt shut the door upon thee and thy sons..”
When we get alone with God, I believe He will do great things in our lives!
There is a story in my family history that has been passed down from generations to generations. It has to deal with my family on my mom’s side (Bardawil) from Beirut, Lebanon.
It took place many years ago in the mountains of Lebanon.
Mr. Bardawil could not walk which made him a very sick man. One cool dark night an angel of the Lord came to him and said, “George Bardawil, tonight God has chosen you to be healed from your infirmities, so you can glorify Him!”
“What am I to do?”
The angel replied, “God wants you to pray to him , go the pool ,place some mud on our eyes and dip yourself in the water and you will be healed!”
The angel left and he was in so much awe!
The next day he called his children, told them the dream and he said to them,
“I want you to take me to this place in the mountain where there is a pool of water. An angel told me that God wants to heal me, but I must dip myself in the water. Then you must leave me there.”
“Papa, how will we know if you are well?”
“I will climb on the roof top and light a fire. When you see the fire you will know that I have been healed!”
So, that cool crispy, dark night with the sweet smell in the air of the Cedar of Lebanon, they left the house to go to that place in the mountain.
When they finally reached the place, they laid him by the cool pool of water and then they left.
Mr. Bardawil looked at the water and he prayed, “Dear God I trust you at your word and I will serve you until the day I die! Thank you Jesus for healing me and making me walk again.”
He then crawled into the cool water and dipped himself and immediately he felt strength coming into his body. He felt a power in him like no other and he arose from the water, praising the Lord Thy God! “I am healed and I can walk again, Praise the Lord!” He shouted to the top of his lungs.
He then went upon the roof and he lit a fire! So that all could see what the Lord has done.
From that day, he turned to preach the gospel in the Greek Orthodox Church and led many to Jesus! He built a small church called St. George’s on that mountain.
The most amazing thing happened. After him, there came a line of priest and ministers down through the ages. Some of them were, my cousin, Rev. Edward George Bardawil (Bardowell) an Anglican priest in Kingston, Jamaica W.I. followed by my Uncle Lloyd Bardowell a Baptist minister. I am also a Baptist minister and was named after him, Edward George Smatt (my mom, Hypha Bardowell), and my Uncle Raymond Bardowell, lay preachers are, Ralph Bardowell, Robert Bardowell,Richard ( Rickey) Bardowell, Pastor Habib Bardowell, Philip Bardowell and Anglican Priest in Trinadad, deacon Brian Smatt and many others. These Godly people had and are having an affect on hundreds of lives today!
You see dear friends, when you get alone with God in prayer, meditation, and have faith, then God will do great and wonderful things in your lives!
You too can light the fire!
Dear friends, today you can be saved and healed, just call upon His name Jesus and say.'" Dear Jesus come into my Heart now and forgive me of my sins. in Jesus name amen!"
He will come in today.
Write and let me know if Jesus camme into your heart.

Evangelist Eddie Smatt: The Key to Great Joy in the Midst of Difficult Tim...
Evangelist Eddie Smatt: The Key to Great Joy in the Midst of Difficult Tim...: "The Key to Great Joy in the Midst of Difficult Times! 2 Chronicles 7:14 Psalm 106:12-15 “Then they believed then His words; they sang Hi..."
The Key to Great Joy in the Midst of Difficult Times!
2 Chronicles 7:14
Psalm 106:12-15 “Then they believed then His words; they sang His praise. They soon forgot his works; they waited not for his counsel; but lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted God in the desert .And he gave them their request, but sent leanness into their soul.”
Our beloved country is in deep economically and morally in a mess. How can a nation come out of this problem? I believe it depends on Christian’s first experiencing deep revival!
Here in these scripture passages God is telling the children of Israel listen you only believe when you see but real blessings come from what we do not see.
Real deep revival must begin with belief that if we turn from our specific sins. What sins do we commit? We commit sins when we have lack of faith, lying, gossip, immorality, hate, prejudices, sexual perversions, backbiters, disobedient to parents, when we neglect the House of God, and when we fail to love God and only worship Him!
How can we solve these sins by confession, repentance through prayer and faith that God will heal us and our land!
Lord I hear of showers of blessing
Thou art scattering full and free;
Showers the thirsty land refreshing-
Let some drops now fall on me.
Pass me not .O gracious Father
Sinful though my heart may be.
Thou might pass me, but the rather
Let Thy mercy rest on me.
Pass me not .O Holy Spirit,
Thou canst make the blind to see;
Witnesser of Jesus ‘ merit,
Speak the words of peace to me. (Author Unknown)
Dear Friends, God loved so much that he sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross so that His shed blood can wash our sins away today!
Call out to Him asks forgiveness and He will heal our land!

God's answer to our solution , America turmoil!
Racial Hatred abounds , racial problems, immorality abounds, divisions in families, financial problems and a government in deep sin!! Our Nation is falling like Rome!!!
The simple, awesome answer is found in these scriptures!!!
2 Chronicle 7:14 "If my people who are called by my name, shall humble themselves ,and pray and seek my face ,and turn from their wicked ways ;then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sins ,and will heal their land."
I love you! Oh dear friends, I beseech you our nation is in great peril! The only way out is to turn to God and repent! Humble yourself and he will lift you up and heal our beloved nation - James chapter
4. Jesus is the answer to our problems!! John 3:16
Part 3 - How to Receive Great Joy in Difficult Times. Humility
The joy right now is nowhere to be found in the country! Morally and economically it’s a disaster! Why! I believe it’s because we as a nation has embraced all forms of humanism and its perversions! God has said ok! You do not want me let me see what you can do without me!
What can we do! 2 Chronicle chapter7:14 have the key to this answer!
Principle number one! Develop the spirit of Humility.
1. To receive great joy in difficult times we need to be humble in our attitude and not haughty.
James chapter 4 verses 1-10 “From where come wars and fighting’s among you? Come they not here, even your lusts that war in your members?
Ye lust, and have not; ye kill and desire to have, and cannot obtain; ye fight and war, ye ye have not, because ye ask not.
Ye ask, and amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lust.
Ye adulterers and adulteresses know you not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever, therefore, will be a friend of the world is an enemy of God.
Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, the spirit that dewlleth in us lusteth to envy?
But he giveth more grace, wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud but giveth grace to the humble.
Submit yourselves, therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you……
In these passages God tell us by being humble that he will lift us up!
It is means, “God I need you, our country needs you. Please forgive us of our sins.”
Joy and great Joy begins with having a humble spirit! Not I but Christ!
How can I know when revival comes? When we have a humble spirit, by following these verses,we will also see changes in our nation and our behaviors and we are turning from our sins.
Then and only then will we see a healing to our nation problems!
America wake up before we blow up!
Love,
Eddie

Part 2-How to Receive Great Joy in Difficult Times- "Revival God's Way!"
Here is a poem about receiving “Great Joy in Difficult Times”
Revival-God’s Way
Where is the hope for revival?
God’s Holy Spirit outpoured
Convincing of sin, and of judgment,
And righteousness of the Lord?
When nothing else is important-
Only God’s presence Divine,
When Christians quit worldly pleasures,
Then God, His ear will incline.
Desperate prayer for revival
Will cleanse the church by the Word
Then cloth in spotless, white linen,
The Bride clears the way for the Lord.
Prayer is the key to revival
Prayer that is spirit born
Nights of compassion weeping
Intercession for the forlorn.
Then will the burdens be lifted
Then all the sinners will cry,
Then all the chains will be loosened
And worldly passions will die.
The lost ones will yield to God’s spirit
When Christians, cleansed, weep, and pray
God’s Living water flows outpoured;
This is “Revival –God’s Way”!
Estelle Gifford Jackson
So, what and who are Christians and who and what are God’s people?
Revival God’s Way is the key to great joy in difficult times!
America needs a Holy Ghost, God anointed Revival!
Will it begin in us today?

How to Receive Great Joy During Difficult Times?
How to Receive Great Joy in Difficult Times?
2 Chronicles 7:14
“If my people who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and forgive their sins, and will heal their land.”
I believe for a nation or the people of a nation to have joy during difficult times they must be open to follow some biblical principles.
Revival does not begin with the lost but with the Christians! In turn the nation will be healed.
The first Principle in receiving great joy is that we as a body of believers need to have a self check! Are we God's people?
Notice the scriptures states:” If my people who are called by my name…”
What then is a Christian? The other day we saw a terrorist in Europe killed people because he states he is a Christian. Ms. Quinn a N.Y writer on Bill O’Reilley stated he (the terrorist) is a Christian because he said he is!
Oh! My! How wrong she is. A Christian is not someone who attends church, baptized, do good works, parents or grandparents were Christians, or they were born in the church! Belong to a particular church!
I was baptized Greek Orthodox and that is a great denomination but being baptized into this church does not make me a Christian!
How does one become a Christian?
