Land Of Dreams

God, Me and the Land of Dreams!

Why is it important for me to know that my parents love me? I want my parents love because I need their protection, provisions and their promises to be there for me! I also can count on them because of what they are done, doing and will do for me!    God is like that, because he does all these things for me!

In Deuteronomy 8:1-20 God tell us that He cares for us and one of the great things he has given us is a land of dreams.
                                                                                                                                     blessings.  1. In verses 7,10,15 and 16
      a. He gave them a good land.
Verses 8-9. God has given us a great land, a great futile country from sea to shining sea! This video shares  about our land and it's dreams.

Our land is a great land!

Eddie

Live Longer, No worry, Be Happy and stay Committed!

Live Longer, No Worry, Be Happy and Stay Committed!

Psalm 37:5 “Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust in him; and he will bring it to pass.”
God tells us in these passages, don’t worry, trust in the Lord, delight yourself in the Lord and now stay committed!
 A. Commit thy way which means obey God’s word!
  B. Trust in him, as it states in 1 Peter 5:7 “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”
C.”He will bring it to pass.” Our destiny will be joyfully accomplished.

Dear friends here is a poem,”Thy way not mine, O Lord however dark it maybe.
Oh lead me by thy right hand
Choose out the path for me, smooth let it be for me, let it be or rough it will still be the best,
Winding or straight, it matters not
It leads me to thy rest.
I dare not choose my lot
I would not dare if I might
But choose thou for me. O my God
So I will walk upright
Take thou my cup, and it with joy or sorrows fill.
As ever best to thee may seem
Choose thy soul or ill.”
God loves you and as the days go by with trials,  are you filled with sorrow, pain hurts and despare, don’t worry, commit your ways and be happy for God will make a way for you!
Jesus loves you and he will never forsake you, come to Jesus today! Dear Jesus, forgive me of my sins and come into my heart today!
Love.

How can I Delight thy self in the Lord when going through pains?

The Help for friends in Pain

Psalm 37:1-9
Eddie, do you feel what I feel about life? A life filled with pains which are: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual? It hurt's so bad and the depression is awful!
Sad to say! But yes, because of my wife's on going MS illness, my work place as a school teacher, my own aches and pains, feeling of not being fulfilled as a preacher, not preaching and ministering on a regular basis, being persecuted when I was in the ministry and watching my family going through hell! Leaving churches, and having your back turned on you by minister friends and denominational leadership saying, "What did he do wrong?," "I can go on and on and on."
What do I need to do to keep my sanity?
I have to make decisions to stop this negative thinking!  I must daily develop my thoughts to be positive, to plan, to pray, to forgive, to daily read the Word for encouragement and to take responsibility for my actions and this my friend is not easy because it has to be constant and consistent!
The first step was to “Trust in the Lord.”
   Secondly, Psalm 37:3
"Delight thyself in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart."
To delight thyself in the Lord means to make God the joy of your heart, to rejoice and to understand who He is and because of that  we can understand what He can do for me! I believe an example is like delighting yourself in ice cream, to be deeply involved in it and to fully understand it’s make up, that is, "what’s in it that makes me to want to desire it!
God loves you dear friend, walk with me in these coming days as I explain more about these verses!
Love Eddie

How not to let worry get the best of you! Step one

How not to let worry get the best of you-step one
Psalm 37 verse 3: Trust in the Lord and do well; so shall thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
Step 1
  a. Trust in the Lord and
  b. Do well
The result you will be fed
There is a story I heard about an old lady who was praying for bread in a time of great distress. Some rude boys heard her prayer, and thinking they will fool her, they brought a loaf of bread. Ringing the door bell, they slipped away and left it there. The old lady got the loaf of bread and immediately got down on her knees and thanked God for answering her prayer. This was too much for the boys who were near and listening, and so they broke in on her and told her she was only fooling herself; God had not sent the bread at all ; they had brought it. ”Ah.” she said, “Boys, I know better .It was the Lord that sent it even if it was the devil that brought it.”
Dear friends, God knows our needs trust Him and he will fed us through His word. He will provide for all our needs. We need to watch, pray and be thankful.
Love,
Eddie

Worry?? Be Happy!

Don’t Worry Be Happy
Psalm 37:1-9!
WE at times can worry over worry, again and again and when will it never end!
God tells us in vs. 1 -9 several things:
First God tell us to be cautious and to be careful of thoughts of discontent.
Secondly He tells us not to look at what others have and what we don’t have.
Thirdly don’t envy what others have because they can lose it all in a minute!
I heard a story about a Methodist bishop who was sitting at his desk, worrying about the state of church affairs in his parish. It was night time. He was troubled, wondering which course to take, until the big clock struck midnight.
He said that he seemed to hear the voice of the Lord, “Now go to bed bishop. I will sit up the rest of the night.”
Dear friends, we all have the tendency to worry. I remember as a child, in Jamaica W.I in the City of Kingston, I was in my room worrying. I fell into a deep sleep and suddenly, I woke up in fright, I felt as if a demon was choking me! I cried out, “Jesus! Jesus! Help me!” I heard a voice and it said to me,” Eddie have you no faith in me!” I was released instantly. I have always remembered, the sweet, soft voice of a loving savior reminding me that He is in control and to have complete faith in Him!
God wants us not to worry what we don’t have, and what others have, but to focus on who we have in our heart! Trust in Him today! He will meet your needs!
Love, Eddie

Overcoming the Pains of Worry!

Overcoming the Pains of Worry

Psalm 37:1-9

The warts of worry, oh what pains they are! Have you ever been told you are nothing but a worry wart??
Sometimes in our life, no matter how “spiritual” you are, worry can creep in your life like a thief in the night. Robbing you of the joy of Jesus, if you let it!
In times like these, with the economy going south, where jobs are few, health issues maybe raging, the uncertainty of world affairs, and the uncertainty of the upcoming elections, worries can creep in like a thief in the night!
In this chapter or 25 David was an elderly person when he was writing this psalm. So you know he had a few aches and pains!
I heard a story the other day about worry .Philip D Armour, packing magnate, was a young man well established in business, he became heavily involved in debt.
One day his banker called on him, “I’m worried about your loan at our bank,” he remarked.
“Well,” the young man replied, “No use for both of us to worrying about the same thing.”
Dear friends, I will be writing more on this topic and in the meantime, don’t worry be happy and keep trusting in Jesus!
Love, Eddie
