Overcoming the Pains of Worry
Psalm 37:1-9
The warts of worry, oh what pains they are! Have you ever been told you are nothing but a worry wart??
Sometimes in our life, no matter how “spiritual” you are, worry can creep in your life like a thief in the night. Robbing you of the joy of Jesus, if you let it!
In times like these, with the economy going south, where jobs are few, health issues maybe raging, the uncertainty of world affairs, and the uncertainty of the upcoming elections, worries can creep in like a thief in the night!
In this chapter or 25 David was an elderly person when he was writing this psalm. So you know he had a few aches and pains!
I heard a story the other day about worry .Philip D Armour, packing magnate, was a young man well established in business, he became heavily involved in debt.
One day his banker called on him, “I’m worried about your loan at our bank,” he remarked.
“Well,” the young man replied, “No use for both of us to worrying about the same thing.”
Dear friends, I will be writing more on this topic and in the meantime, don’t worry be happy and keep trusting in Jesus!
Love, Eddie
