Tribute to The Fallen policemen --Officers

My Dear Friends, today, lets us pause and pay respect to  the fallen Police Officers and their families!

I am reminded of of Philippians 4:7 " And the peace of God which passeth all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Jesus Christ."

When I am weak, torn and in pain, I am reminded of this song

God Cares

God Cares

I have often heard it said during some dark days in one’s life,” Does care for me.” I have also said this. I have, at times, felt the feeling of loneliness and being abandoned.  I would like to share this story.

A Frenchman incurred the displeasure of Napoleon and was put in a dungeon. He seemed to be forsaken by his friends and forgotten by everyone in the outside world. In loneliness and despair he took a stone and starched on the wall of his cell, “Nobody cares.”

One day a green shoot came through the cracks on the floor of the dungeon and began to reach toward the light in the tiny window at the top of the cell to. The prisoner kept part of the water brought to him each day by the jailer a poured it on the blade of the green. It grew until at last it became a plant with a beautiful blue flower. As the petals opened up in full blossom, the solitary captive crossed out the words previously written on the wall and above them scratched, “God cares.”

                                     - The Chaplain

Fear not for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God. I will strengthen thee, yea, I will help thee, yea I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

                                                      Isaiah 41:10

Dear friends, I will be sharing some thoughts on this matter in the coming days! I know and have experience God’s presence and protection. I firmly that God care for you and me.

Love,

Eddie

American Government Religious Persecution -(The Houston Problem!)

Religious Hostility In America

1 Tim.4

Is there religious hostility in America today? OH! Yea! In Houston, Texas the mayor and city council are demanding that the ministers turn over their sermons, notes and audio. The reason, so they can control the messengers of God! Why because they oppose same sex marriage and the sin of homosexuality. Rom.1
Let me say ,"Make no mistake, we love the sinner but hate the sin!

She wants to silence free speech!

1 Timothy 4:2 tells us to,” preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction.” We have God given right to preach against all forms of sin and sinful actions..

We will never, never turn over any of our sermons to any authority!

We answer to God and God alone!

I am calling all Christians to stand and peacefully vocally against this evil, demonic actions by the government. I also believe we need to vote them out of office!

We must stand !

I am calling for all Americans to repent of our sins, turn from our wicked ways, and pray for God to heal our land. He will hear from heaven and heal us! 2 Chron 7,or we will perish as a Nation!

Love,

Eddie

What does the Bible say concerning,"Your Pastor and You."

 The Pastor/ Shepherd and You!

John 1:6-8

“The shepherd/pastors and you” Why is this so very important today? Today, so many churches are in turmoil. I have heard this saying over and over again,"It's the preacher's fault why people are leaving the church." Hmm, I firmly believe that  churches cannot effectively minister the Gospel until they understand the Biblical meaning of God’s shepherd, and their relationship to him. I also firmly believe that God shepherd is sent of God, he is a human being, and he is sent to bear witness of the light.

A.      The pastor, and his family are human beings. Wow! a profound statement concerning God’s man. He is not a perfect person. He is simply a man that has feelings, emotion and needs. His family also has these same essentials for living. They have human limitations.

B.      The pastor has Divine authority from God. He needs to be he respected and honored. 1 Samuel 26:7-11, Psalm 27 :3,1 Tim.5:17-18, Deut. 25:4,Lev. 19:13.1 Cor.9:9

C.      The pastor/shepherd responsibility is to bear witness of the light. He is to preach and minister the Word of God! He does not have a job but a calling. He is not to be afraid to offend anyone! He is to preach and give bold leadership!

Dear friends, your pastor, and his family are human beings, sent of God and to bear witness of the light in a dark, gloomy, sin,and sick world. I firmly believe, that any church desiring to grow need to understand these principles.

Why is the Muslim World in Turmoil?

Why is the Muslim World in Turmoil?

Why is the Muslim World in Turmoil? Why are Christians being persecuted killed, raped, plundered? Why are the terrorist in ISIS hatefull and mad?

I respect the Muslim religion, the Koran and all other religions.

What is different about Christianity that stirs up passions to the point of murder?

I believe that the reason is Jesus Christ the only Son of the living God!

I firmly believe that Jesus, whom died on the cross, is the only one that rose from the dead. He is coming back for us the believers.

I believe that so many Muslims are being converted, their lives have changed, and they have rejected Islam. I believe that Satan is so mad because many people are not going to a burning hell!

John 3:16 For God so love the World that He gave His only begotten Son that who so ever believe on him shall not perish but have everlasting life !

I believe that people turning to Jesus are the reasons why some in the Muslim world are upset. Jesus!!!!!!!

Dear friends as a song states. “Turn your eyes upon Jesus and look into his wonderful face and the things of this world will grow strangely dim in the light of glory and grace.”

Come to Jesus today through praying, “Dear lord Jesus I am a sinner come into my heart and save me! Amen!

Love, Eddie

Walking in Evil Times

Walking in Evil Times

Ephesians 5:1-20

Verse 18 “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise

Verse 19 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”

Today we are seeing the explosion of evil both here in the USA and abroad. Some of the examples are the riots, persecution of Christians here and worldwide, immorality. So how do we as Christians confront these evil times?

God’s tell us as Christians that as we live in these evil days for us to stand out as believers by the way we live our lives which are:

1.       Walk in love to each other

2.       Walk in truth to each other

3.       Walk in purity

4.       Walk in sacrifice to each other

5.       Walk in honest and pure speech

6.       Walk in thankfulness

7.       Walk not in godlessness which are fornication, covetousness, idolatry, deceitfulness, empty speech, and don’t partake with those who are involved in these impure things.

8.       Walk in avoidance with the unfruitful and workers of darkness but expose them.

9.       Walk  in light

10. Walk in the spirit filled life

11. Walk in submission to each other

12. Walk with a joyful heart

I believe as we are living in these evil and perverted days these are the principles of success.

Love,

Eddie

Refuge in the Storms

Finding refugee in the Storms

How do we  find refuge in the storms of life? There is no doubt about it, we are in many storms of life. So what are these storms? I believe we are facing unbelievable  financial, emotional, physical , spiritual storms. We are also facing  severe persecutions if you don't believe their way! We are facing the break down of the American way of life which are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness! So what do we do?

I believe the answers are found in the Word of God. .One of the scriptures that deals with finding refuge in the storms of life is found in Psalms 142.

1 Refuge from these storms begin with seeking God. verse 1-2

       a. prayer ,that is crying out to God vocally, pouring out my soul to Him.

2. Refuge is understanding that only God is in total control of our lives. verse 3-4

3. Refuge is also understanding that God alone is our refuge in these troublesome times.verse 5-6

4.Refuge is understanding that God alone is our deliverance from these dangerousulto hi storms verse 7

Dear friends, even though we are in some dreadful storms our refuge is in Christ alone. We must pour our souls to Him,trust Him to meet our needs  for He alone is in total control.

Love,

Eddie

How to Answer Critics

How To Answer a Difficult Critic

Col.4:6  "Let your speech always be seasoned with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one."

Has anyone  ever been guilty of speaking harshly, rudely to a critic?  I am guilty of answering a difficult critic  in a harsh way and I am truly sorry.

I am reminded of this awesome passage in God's Word when confronting a critic :

1.   Speak to the critic with grace. I am convinced that we must speak in a kind spirit, and that's not easy..

2  Season your  speech ( Mk. 9:50 and Lk 14:34)   I am reminded that salt is used to stop decaying and to make a chicken dish  taste  good.  Ha , to make food eatable. I believe by speaking to a critic in a seasoned way may make that person wanting to eat your dish, or at least make other people eat your dish.

3.  Answer a critic no matter the difficulty by:

     a. Using wisdom,truth and love
     b. Never get into an argument that will cause more harm than  good such as:
foil remarks, surely remarks, cutting remarks, saltiness's remarks.

Eddie, listen they will get away with their ungodly, untruthful speech.  I believe they will not, because no one will listen to foolish, tasteless , unsalted speech.

I believe people can tell between a good dish and a bad tasting dish. I also believe we need to season our speech because by doing so we will advance the gospel.

God bless,

Eddie Smatt

Pro-’gay’ Jars of Clay singer schooled by Christian leaders

Pro-’gay’ Jars of Clay singer schooled by Christian leaders

My Message ," What Difference Does it Make?"""""  Sin is sin,  and God's Word is the Word!! We must reject this false, anti- christ spirit!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and all false christians!!!!!!! if we are to survive as a Nation!!!!

What Difference does it make?

                                                              What Difference Does it Make?

What difference doe it make?  I have heard this over and over again. In California , today at a University, the school  told the intervarsity christian fellowship, if they wanted to continue their christian club their leaders has to include nonbelievers.

The Bible states in Deuteronomy 8:19 "And,if do at all forget the Lord, thy God ,and walk after other gods, and serve them ,I will testify against you this day that you shall surely perish."

What difference does it Make? Who cares? We should, if we want to prosper in the land that God has given us.

When we as a nation embrace all forms of false gods, immorality, lies , denies and reject the Word of God in it's Biblical precepts we will perish!.

I believe, that we as a Nation need to humble, pray, repent of our sins and turn back to God!   2 Chronicles chapter 7.

I  also believe, that as the Bible stated,  God will heal our land!

Love,

Eddie

Fears?

                                                                       Fears

 Nehemiah 6

What fears are consuming you today? What dark and gloomy thoughts are plaguing you? Satan will try to make you doubt God's love for you . He will put road blocks of fears. Why, so you can fall apart.

Nehemiah was facing such a challenge while building the wall. Nehemiah enemies was placing so many words of fears verse 10 like run, hide.  His enemies were spreading evil reports about him verse 13.Why, to make him afraid and abandon his work for God.

 1. Nehemiah refuse to run and lose faith in God! verse 11
.                                                                                                                                                      He         2 . He prayed for God to strengthen him verse 8.

  3. He refused to accept the spoken words of fear. vr 19

Dear friends, as we live in some shark filled waters have no fear stand , pray and see the wonder working power of God in our lives.

A Shaken Faith-Updated

A Shaken Faith

"For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."
2 Timothy1:7

Has your faith ever been shaken to it’s very core? Has your faith ever been shaken so that it leads your feet to be weak?  Tear droplets fall from your eyes like water that falls from a windowsill after a heavy rain .Sometimes our faith has been shaken so many times whether it is finances, or sickness, ect...

Today, we live in a world that the progressives in America and radical Islam by their attacking attitudes and  actions, express a  hate for Christians. They despise our freedoms of expression and religion. They can sake one's faith.

It was about over two thousand years ago that the apostle’s faith was shaken to their very core. Jesus whom they loved and followed was taken prisoner, tried, condemned, beaten, crucified, and buried in a borrowed tomb and then the tomb was  empty after the third day!

They ran to hide in the upper room, and the door shut because of fear for their own lives.

Then something awesome happens; Jesus appears before them.

“Then the same day at the evening, being the first week, the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst and said unto them, Peace be showed unto you”.

“And when he had so said, he showed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.” St. John 20:10-20

Friends, in the midst of a crisis and you feel your faith shaken, and tears falling like raindrops, Jesus will never abandon you! He will bring you peace!

Love,Eddie Happy Easter He is risen!!!!!!!

Helping the Senior Ciizens in our Churches?

Helping the Senior Citizens in our Churches?

Acts Chapter 4: 32-36

The show, the Walton’s, took place during The Great Depression in the 1930’s. This show explained how people struggled to make ends meet, & how they came together, and met the community’s needs.

What is the greatest need facing the churches today? Is it the aging population? If so, what type of culture do we, as a church, need to change in order to meet this need?

Another big question,” Are we focusing on the needs of the growing, aging population within the local church?

I believe we are experiencing a serious historical time of Biblical proportions, what is it? I believe it is the hurting, aging Christians, whom are facing enormous spiritual, physical, emotional and financial needs.

My question, what are we doing to meet these needs?

“Huh! Why, Eddie we have programs to …..”

My friends, the facts, we have so many aging hurting senior citizens today and we have very little helps.

  “What do you mean?”

   “What is your point?”

The point is that there are so many people growing older, needing assistance in different areas and unless you have big money to pay for these needs the aged simply fall through cracks and die!!!!!!!!!

In   Acts chapter 4 verses 32-36 we see there were needs, within the church, the members stepped up to the plate and met the people needs.

1.       They had one heart and soul which means they were unified and had heart!

2.       They were not selfish!

3.       They shared what they had!

4.       God bless them in abundance

5.       They brought it to the church.

6.       Thy then distribute to the needy people within the congregation.

7.       The people were encouraged

8.       The church continued to grow

Today, we have an aging population that needs all sorts of ministries, like companionship, grocery shopping….. Many senior citizens do not have sufficient funds to pay a company to assist them. Also, many families today are in dire shape to assist their loved ones.

I have heard it said by church members, “We don’t have the funds, or the means to provide ministry to help the aging population!”

My questions are, why not? And what can we do? I believe that failure as a church, to address these issues is not an option. I believe, also we can meet these needs by developing ministries to the aging as practiced in the Book of Acts which are: having unity, sharing what we have, doing acts of kindness, caring and giving.

Dear friends, I believe we have a great, grievous, financial, aging, member crisis in our churches that are hurting. We must! As churches step up to the plate; provide funds, and ministries to meet those needs! Or we will have lost our salt to reach people for Christ!

God Bless.

Love,

Eddie
