Are We Culturely Backward?
Judges 14-19
Chris Matthews on mnbc made statement which eluded to Christians, and seniors and other religions that uphold moral values are culturally backward! Wow!
In Judges 14-19 we see Samson handsome and very powerful fall and lost it all over sex and infidelity. Why? Because he fell into the perils of fortune, fame, power and pleasure. Listen, it could happen to anybody!
What steps led him to have a moral melt down? are there lessons that we can learn from?
1. How about respect for one's self!
Judges 14:1-9 Samson did not respect his family values and loyalty to these values, nor to the biblical teachings.
First he said.” Dad and mom I found a woman but she does not share our faith, our family values.” So they said no! He said yes!
Verse 3 “….and Samson said unto his father. Get her for me; for she pleased me well.” Verse 4 but his father and mother knew not that it was of the Lord…” Here it is my friends, the secular world's attitude about family value. It is not your family values and the teachings of the Bible that culturally backward's... it’s our attitude towards one self and the scriptures, it’s what I want!
Dear friend, God loves you and He has given us His word for us to be successful. I call on all to turn to the Lord Thy God! To repent so God can bless our nation again and avoid a meltdown.
